Jonathan Cronstedt knows how to seize opportunities
As we move on to Day 5 of our Blogging Challenge, my thoughts have begun to focus on some of the many challenges I’ve faced in my journey to become who I am today: Jonathan Cronstedt, CEO of Empower Network.
To get through some of those difficulties, I frequently turn to books and other resources for ideas and encouragement. One of the most captivating books I’ve read is The Obstacle is the Way by Ryan Holiday. If you’re interested, you’ll find more details about the book and my admiration for it in my YouTube video on the subject.
In short, the book combines modern philosophy with more ancient inspirations such as the words of Marcus Aurelius and tales like “The King and the Boulder” to explain how the obstacle in your path becomes the path. In other words, the actions you take to remove the obstacle become a part of your story. These are powerful words for successful go-getters like your old pal Jonathan Cronstedt here.
No matter what you do in life, from building a business to traveling the world, there will always be obstacles. How you perceive these obstacles and reframe your thinking can be the one thing that either affirms an obstacle as insurmountable or turns it into something you can learn from and use to actually advance your goals. Within every obstacle there is an opportunity to improve your condition.
I hope you find motivation from my discussion about The Obstacle is the Way and I hope you will read it for yourself.
Let me know what books you use for insights and revelations. Until then, remember to register for the Empower Network Revolution event. Learn more at http://www.empowernetwork.com/revolution.
